Gennaro Gattuso says he would walk to Manchester for Man Utd job
AC Milan legend Gennaro Gattuso says he would walk to Manchester for the chance to manager Manchester United.
The 38-year-old World Cup winner is trying to carve out a managerial career and is currently in charge of third-tier side Pisa.
While it is safe to say he is probably not on the radar of the Old Trafford hierarchy at present, that isn’t stopping him dreaming of that possibility.
Gattuso is known to be a big fan of British football and enjoyed a short spell with Rangers early in his career. And he revealed that he records two Championship matches a night to get the authentic English football viewing experience.
He rates the Premier League as the best in the world and praised the pace and strength of the players.
Asked whether he would be open to the idea of managing United, he told The Sun: “I’d walk there. I’d even go tomorrow.”
Gattuso said legendary United boss Sir Alex Ferguson had always respected him.
