Liverpool have confirmed a 31-strong party that left Melwood today for a mid-season training camp in Spain.

Jurgen Klopp is taking his title-challenging squad to Marbella for some warm weather training. The group will spend the next four days working in the sunshine, before heading back to Merseyside.

Having already been knocked out of the FA Cup, the Reds are not in action again until they host Bayern Munich at Anfield on Tuesday, February 19.

They they travel to Old Trafford to face Manchester United the following Sunday for a game in which they can regain top spot in the Premier League table. Rivals Manchester City, who currently lead on goal difference, will play in the Carabao Cup final that weekend.

The squad for the trip includes Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who has not played this season but is closing in on a return from his anterior cruciate ligament injury.

Xherdan Shaqiri (abdomen) and Dejan Lovren (hamstring) are both doubts for the Bayern game, but have made the trip. That will give Liverpool fans hope that they are on course to be available for the big match.

Joe Gomez (leg fracture) does not travel after his recent surgery.

The squad is bolstered by the inclusion of several youngsters, including Ben Woodburn, Rhian Brewster and Ki-Jana Hoever.
