Q: How many Man United players does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: Zero. Barry does it for them
Patrice Evra has done wonders for football players’ reputations with this morning’s tabloids picking up on a quote revealing that Manchester United’s players have a team of handymen on call to perform the simplest of DIY tasks.
Headed by player liaison manager Barry Moorhouse, the gofers are available 24 hours a day to have cars fixed, Jacuzzis repaired and even change lightbulbs!
Evra said: “This club is a big family because everybody works together. You can ask Barry anything. When you have a problem with your car, the Jacuzzi or the light, he is there.”
Barry said: “Some people describe me as a Jim’ll Fix It.”
Except nobody would have watched that show if it featured people who Jim to fix it for them to get their lightbulb changed!
