Fernando Torres became the fastest Liverpool player to bag 50 league goals with his strike against Aston Villa. The injury-time effort gave the Reds a vital 1-0 victory.

The match was Torres’ 72nd league game. Only Andy Cole, Alan Shearer and Ruud Van Nistelrooy reached the milestone faster than the Spaniard.
