Video: England squad go on safari
Three Lions search for Big Five
England took a break from training yesterday to take a safari trip. The squad visited the Pilanesburg Safari Park – a 40-minute drive from their Rustenburg base – to take in some of South Africa’s wildlife.
The players got a very close look at some elephants, rhino and zebra on their £5-a-head ‘game drive’ around the park.
Poor old Rio Ferdinand was left out though. We don’t know if he stayed behind for treatment or if the FA hadn’t budgeted for a 24th man on the trip.
