Artist Dimitar Berbatov likes to sketch his team-mates
Dimitar Berbatov got so carried away with Cantona-esque analogies that he ended up revealing his secret sideline. The Manchester United striker got all arty farty as he discussed how his “beautiful” play would help Sir Alex Ferguson’s team to win back the title.
And he revealed that he enjoys drawing and has caricatured his team-mates.
Berba said: “Football is like art and my aim is to create beautiful things on the pitch to help the team be successful. Our aim is to win the title back and I know we have the players to do it.”
Warming up to his theme, the Bulgarian explained that he is such an artist on the pitch that he just can’t help himself off it.
He added: “Whatever I see I can draw! I’ve done a few caricatures of the lads – Wazza, Vida and Fletch – we had a good laugh about them. I think they liked them.”
Pah! Fergie’s definitely mellowed. He never would have let Roy Keane pose while Brian McClair doodled away trying to capture him.
