Video: Benfica keeper Roberto pelted with golf balls and a live chicken
Porto fans proved their lack of respect for health and safety regulations is rivalled only by their scant regard for animal rights by throwing golf balls and a live chicken at Benfica goalkeeper Roberto during yesterday’s 5-0 win over their rivals.
The gang at 101GreatGoals can at least explain the chicken incident, but the golf balls seem to be just random thuggery:
In Portugal a gaffe or howler is called a “frango,” which is a word for chicken, and someone who makes a lot of frangos is a churrascaria, or barbecue.
It’s certainly been a weekend for lobbing around balls belonging to a different sport!
