Blackburn manager Steve Kean charged with drink driving
Blackburn boss Steve Kean has been charged with drink driving. The Scot was pulled over on the M6 motorway in Cheshire following Rovers’ 1-1 draw with Manchester United.
He provided a positive breath test before being released on bail. He is free to take charge of Blackburn’s final game of the season against Wolves.
Cheshire Police said: “At 8.50pm on Saturday 14 May, Cheshire officers stopped a Mercedes car on the M6 southbound carriageway, between Junction 18 and 19. The driver, a 43-year-old man, provided a positive breath test. He was subsequently charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol and bailed to appear at Crewe magistrates’ court next month.”
No word yet on whether Fergie had brought along one of his post-match bottles of wine.
