England plan to stay in Holiday Inn for Euro 2012
England are hoping to stay in a Holiday Inn for Euro 2012 – assuming they actually manage to qualify for the tournament.
FA bosses have got their eyes on the 148-room Holiday Inn in Warsaw’s Jozefow district.
The tournament is being jointly hosted by Poland and Ukraine, but the FA are keen to base the England squad near to the Polish capital.
According to The Sun:
“The hotel, which has a six-hole golf course and a spa, is about 12 miles from the centre of Warsaw and in the middle of a forest – the Mazovia National Park.
“It is located on the banks of the River Swider and boasts 11 meeting rooms, a 24-hour business centre, tennis courts, basketball area and indoor pool.”
An FA spokesman said: “Along with all other nations in the Euro 2012 qualifying programme, we are in the process of visiting a number of potential base camp hotels.
“No decision has been made regarding the team hotel and any confirmation will be subject to qualification for the tournament.”
Rumours abound that the squad are hoping to pick up some last-minute London 2012 Olympics tickets.
