OTP Podcast: Best of 2010/2011
Tick, tick, tick… BOOM!
As we come to the end of a long, hard season, the OTP podcast team is feeling a little tired – just like the England squad. So instead of turning in a lacklustre display of fatigued audio, we’ve decided to cobble together a ‘Best Of’ pod, seamlessly editing together our favourite moments of the season (let’s be honest though, it’s the best of a bad bunch).
We’ve spent all week in the dark, dank depths of the OTP archives digging up the following: Christmas with Mick McCarthy, the Anfield shower hole, Asamoah Gyan spitting lyrics, Stan Collymore shouting a lot, the various weapons of Mario Balotelli and Ashley Cole, and much much more.
As if that wasn’t enough for your hungry ears, we’ve also got exclusive pod cameos from Ruud van Nistelrooy, Patrick Viera and Marcel Desailly for you to listen out for. What a nice little end of season treat.
And that’s it for the season! If you’ve made it this far then congratulations on successfully wading through the mountain of footballing twoddle that we’ve thrown at you throughout the course of the year – you have put in a truly stellar performance.
A big thanks goes out to everyone who tuned in and if you’d like to listen back to any past shows then they are available to listen to again on our archive page.
Thanks again and cheerio!
We thought we’d finish off the season with our favourite video of the year. Competition was tough, and there were some truly outstanding entries, but none more so than this one. The simplicity, the production values and that smile all came together to make this video of Yorkshire’s answer to George Clooney our top choice. And thank goodness we’ll be seeing him in the Premier League next year.
