Manchester City star Mario Balotelli puts £1,000 behind the bar at pub
Yet another great Mario Balotelli story has broken with news of the latest of the Italian’s regular random acts of kindness. The Manchester City striker popped into a Manchester pub to put £1,000 behind the bar for festive drinkers before heading to Midnight Mass.
Balotelli called into The Tudor pub in Peel Hall to give punters an unexpected treat on Christmas Eve.
A source told The Sun: “Nobody could believe it when he walked in.
“The last thing anyone expected was a big celebrity like him turning up for the service but he was very polite and charming and didn’t draw attention to himself.
“He was very down to earth. Everyone wanted to talk to him and he took it in his stride.
“It’s not a smart pub, so it was a big surprise when he walked in.”
Having opened the tab, Balotelli went to St John’s church in Chorlton for Midnight Mass, presumably meaning he once again broke his pre-match curfew and didn’t even get a curry out of it this time.
