Skint Portsmouth can’t afford a scan to check on Liam Lawrence’s calf injury
Cash-strapped Championship side Portsmouth are unable to find out the extent of an injury to midfielder Liam Lawrence because they can’t afford to pay for a scan, manager Michael Appleton has revealed.
Pompey are expected to re-enter administration today after their well-documented financial problems resurfaced.
Appleton told BBC Radio Solent: “Liam can’t walk properly. Because we can’t afford to scan his calf we don’t know the full extent of the injury.”
Nor the full extent of the financial problems judging by that.
