Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp cleared of tax evasion
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp and his co-defendant Milan Mandaric have been cleared of tax evasion.
The jury at Southwark Crown Court found that Redknapp had not deliberately avoiding tax on payments made to him by his then Portsmouth chairman Mandaric.
Jurors rejected the prosecution case that payments made to the infamous ‘Rosie47’ Monaco bank account totalling £189,000 were a bonus for selling Peter Crouch at a massive profit and beating Manchester United.
Redknapp and Mandaric hugged in the dock after the not guilty verdict was delivered.
