Police arrest 10-year-old boy for kick to the head in Hong Kong youth match
A 10-year-old player of Hong Kong-based English Schools Federation Lions has been arrested by police for kicking an opponent in the head during a match.
Footage of the incident shows the youngster lining up what appears to be a big hoof upfield… before opting to clear the skull of a Kitchee Escola player rather than the ball.
The Hong Kong media have touted a possible racist motive behind the incident since the victim was a 12-year-old Chinese boy.
The arrested boy has now been released on bail.
