Chelsea captain John Terry’s words to opposing player caught on camera again – considerably less controversial than the last time
Whatever the real meaning behind John Terry’s abusive words to Anton Ferdinand last October, we can all agree that the Chelsea captain’s verbal salvos towards opposition players are usually somewhat antagonistic to say the least.
In a refreshing twist on that consistently fulfilled caricature, the England international was caught on camera (and indeed on mic) commending an opponent for his “incredible” movement. The expletive-free interchange came during Chelsea’s 3-2 defeat to the MLS All-Stars last week.
The footage was specifically dug up for an MLS show looking at the trials and tribulations of MLS star striker Chrois Wondolowski.
We are not entirely sure how or where the mic was used, but for the sake of avoiding endless months of court cases, mud-slinging and football tearing itself limb from limb, it would have been rather handy at Loftus Road last October.
