Bet’s be ‘avin you: Football betting tips for the 12-13 October
Another slightly frustrating weekend last time out. Not a disaster in that we got £37.50 return from the £40 stake, but extremely close to another winner. Must do better Daniel.
Luckily it’s international weekend, which means absolutely no value knocking about and short odds on all the teams you want. Odds of 6/4 on Gary Cahill scoring anytime, for example, is completely ridiculous. Anyway, let’s see what we can do.
We will start with a bet from the England game, which is the ultimate dead rubber non-dead rubber. England will win and will win handsomely, so finding value is near impossible. Eventually I have decided to split up a tenner on two correct scores. 5-0 and 6-0 seem reasonable, and are available at 11/2 and 13/2. It would be a nice start to the weekend.
£5 on England to win 5-0 gets you £27.50
£5 on England to win 6-0 gets you £37.50
The rest of Friday’s action formulates the first treble. Slovenia should be snapped up at 1.5 at home to Cyprus, and Israel may be away from home but Luxembourg are a side that will surely be turned over. Finally, anyone that watched Ireland and Germany in the group stage of Euro2012 will have no problem backing the Germans, especially as Ireland only beat Kazakhstan with two last-minute goals last month.
£20 on Slovenia, Germany and Israel gets you £56
Thankfully, there is still lower league domestic action. I will be opting for a League One treble involving Tranmere, Sheffield United and Crawley. Both Tranmere and Sheffield United are unbeaten this season, and therefore should be expected to beat two opponents in Yeovil and Oldham that are sat in the bottom half of the table. Crawley face Bury who are propping up the table with four miserly points.
£10 on Tranmere, Sheffield United and Crawley gets you £46
