Pardew: Newcastle away performances will improve, starting with Metalist
Newcastle’s away performances will improve between now and the end of the season, according to manager Alan Pardew.
He reckons that that his new signings, coupled with key players returning from injury, will lead to an upsurge in the Toon’s fortunes. And he expects that to start this evening for the Europa League clash against Ukrainian side Metalist Kharkiv.
Speaking at his press conference yesterday, Pardew said: “We will be satisfied with a draw… a score draw because we will go through.
“But a lot of problems we have had this season away from home has been the lack of availability of our top players. We have them back now and we also have increased the size of the squad so, for us, the away performance will get stronger between now and the end of the year and we aim to start that tomorrow.”
