Liverpool striker Fabio Borini’s xenophobic slur against English mini-bar raiders
It’s well known that Liverpool like their strikers with a hint of racism (irony detectors to the ‘on’ position please, irate Reds). So it’s probably of no surprise that Fabio Borini has opted for a heinous xenophobic slur in his pre-season tour video diary.
The attacker reckons all his English team-mates have probably raided their hotel mini-bars for sweet treats and drinks not befitting professional athletes.
He said: “As I’m Italian and not English, I didn’t check the minibar because probably the English look for chocolate and all the drinks they can have in the mini-bar, which in Italy we don’t actually do.”
How dare he!
Now, if you don’t mind, I’m off for a tiny Toblerone and a miniature Bell’s whisky for my afternoon snack.
