Doncaster Rovers sign One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson
Doncaster have signed boyband singer Louis Tomlinson as a non-contract player.
The One Direction star has been given a squad number by his local team and is set to play for the development squad at some point over the coming season.
He told the Championship club’s official website: “This has always been a childhood dream for me.”
The 21-year-old caught the eye – of the finance team, resumably – when he played in charity game in aid of Bluebell Wood Hospice. That has prompted Donny to sign him up.
He added: “I feel very honoured to have been asked to sign for Rovers and being able to help both the club and the amazing charity Bluebell Wood is what it’s all about.”
