Former Arsenal star Thierry Henry to give money to charity every time he scores for New York Red Bulls
Thierry Henry is not only a wonderful footballer, but also a rather lovely bloke.
That much has been made clear by his latest promise, not made with any official PR release or press conference, but instead quietly agreed.
The former Arsenal striker, now plying his trade at New York Red Bulls, has pledged to donate $5000 to charity every time he scores this season for the club.
The charity in question is Grassroot Soccer, which celebrates football’s potential role in educating and preventing the spread of AIDS in Africa.
