Spurs boss Andre Villas Boas expecting players to be sold
Tottenham manager Andre Villas Boas had admitted that he expects his squad to be ‘trimmed’ before the end of the transfer window.
But the Portuguese boss is also expecting new arrivals at White Hart Lane and indicated that his side’s transfer dealings are by no means finished for the summer.
He said: “We are moving forward with not only trimming the squad, but adding tremendous talent.
“I think we can become very, very strong in relationship to what we were last season. It depends on the deals that we are able to complete until the market finishes.
“It hasn’t finished yet for us, we will continue to do some activity in the market both ways and we look forward to be stronger than the year before.”
The north London club is expected to tie-up deals for Roma winger Erik Lamela and Anzhi playmaker Willian shortly. And, of course, it’s widely expected that Gareth Bale will join Real Madrid.
