Wayne Rooney misses Man Utd’s final pre-season tour match with ‘shoulder injury’

Wayne Rooney will miss Manchester United’s pre-season friendly against AIK tomorrow with a shoulder injury.
The England international, who was the subject of a £25m bid from Chelsea last night, has missed all United’ pre-season matches so far with an hamstring injury.
He was expected to make his return to action in Stockholm on Tuesday evening, but has now been ruled out of that match.
United’s official Twitter account confirmed that Rooney would not play due to a shoulder injury and quoted manager David Moyes as saying: “It’s not too serious.”
The news will inevitably set tongues wagging that Rooney’s absence is due to an impending move to Chelsea.
The tweet from United’s account has already been flooded with replies dismissing the shoulder injury as a little too convenient.
