Arsenal target Sebastien Corchia hints at January move
Sochaux defender Sebastien Corchia, a transfer target for Arsenal, has suggested he could leave the club during the January transfer window.
The full-back had been expected to join Marseille and Lyon during the summer, but a deal with French football’s big guns failed to materialised.
That could pave the way for Arsene Wenger to make his move when the transfer window reopens.
The former France Under-21 international admits that his departure is a possibility, but says it is up to his current club to decide if they want to sell.
The 23-year-old told L’Equipe: “I know what I have to do now during matches and I will see what happens in the next windows. But at the moment, I want to work with my club.
“[Leaving in the winter] can be a possibility, Sochaux negotiate with interested clubs. I prefer to focus on the present at the moment.”
