Chelsea defender David Luiz: ‘I have nothing to prove’
David Luiz insists he has nothing to prove to Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho.
In fact, he said he respects Mourinho’s rotation policy and has even adopted the Special One’s tactics of talking about himself in the third person.
Speaking about being left out of the squad for Saturday’s win over Fulham, Luiz said: “It was just one game. Sometimes when other players go out of the team, people don’t say anything.
“I don’t need to prove anything. Everyone knows who David Luiz is, I want to play football and enjoy myself on the pitch so when I have an opportunity to play, I want to enjoy just that.”
