Wayne Rooney trained for Manchester United’s Champions League clash against Bayer Leverkusen without the protective headgear he wore at the weekend.
The England international donned a padded headband for Saturday’s win over Crystal Palace to protect that cut to his forehead that forced him to miss the defeat to Liverpool and England’s World Cup qualifiers against Moldova and Ukraine.
Rooney’s cut seemed to have pretty much healed.
Still wearing serious protective headwear was new signing Marouane Fellaini, who is set to make his first Champions League appearance in tomorrow’s match.
