Guillermo Ochoa followed Liverpool on Twitter after Simon Mignolet was dropped for Man Utd game
World Cup hero Guillermo Ochoa started following Liverpool on Twitter moments after Simon Mignolet was dropped for yesterday’s defeat at Manchester United.
The Mexico international hit the follow button on Liverpool’s official Twitter account around 15 minutes after it was announced that Mignolet had been left out of the side to play at Old Trafford.
The Reds have previously been linked with a move for the 29-year-old, as they have many goalkeepers in recent months.
Ochoa was on the books of French side Ajaccio during the World Cup but his contract was up.
He subsequently signed for Spanish side Malaga on a free transfer, but has failed to dislodge first-choice keeper Carlos Kameni and has found himself spending most of his time on the bench.
Malaga general director Vicente Casado previously said the club would “see in December” whether Ochoa would be allowed to leave in the January transfer window, suggesting the Mexican is not happy with his current circumstances.
