Ex-Spurs boss Harry Redknapp: Emmanuel Adebayor is a ‘very good player’…
Former Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp hinted he could make a surprise move for his old striker Emmanuel Adebayor as he looks to boost his side’s scoring prowess.
The former Arsenal striker has failed to play for Spurs despite returning from compassionate leave last month – with boss Mauricio Pochettino insisting the player he is still building up his fitness.
Reports Redknapp could move for the Togo forward, who he brought to White Hart Lane, have not been ruled out by the QPR chief, though he did say the player’s wages could be a problem.
“He’s a good player, a very good player,” Redknapp said. “He might be out of our budget though.”
Roma have also been linked with a move for Adebayor but he is unlikely to drop his £100,000 a week wages.
