Jack Wilshere set to leave Arsenal on loan
Arsenal are ready to let midfielder Jack Wilshere leave the club on loan in search of regular first-team football, according to the BBC.
The England international, who has been left out of Sam Allardyce’s first national team squad, has seen his progress halted by a succession of injuries in recent seasons and now finds himself down the pecking order for the Gunners. The arrivals of Mohamed Elneny and Granit Xhaka in recent transfer windows have further restricted his opportunities.
He will now be allowed to leave the Emirates Stadium on a season-long loan deal in an effort to establish himself as a regular Premier League starter once again.
The 24-year-old was restricted to just three Premier League appearances last season and only 14 in the 2014/15 campaign.
Wilshere’s last stint away from Arsenal was a loan spell at Bolton Wanderers in 2010.
He now has less than 48 hours to secure a new club before Wednesday’s transfer deadline.
