Aaron Ramsey signs £400,000-a-week pre-contract with Juventus
Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has signed a pre-contract agreement to join Juventus on a £400,000-a-week deal this summer, according to the BBC.
Ramsey has signed a four-year contract that will tie him to the Italian giants until June 2023. He will become a Juventus player on July 1.
The Wales international, aged 28, is set to become the highest paid British player of all time.
Ramsey is out of contract at the end of the season. Talks between his representatives and Arsenal were called off last year.
He has been free to hold talks with any overseas club since January 1 and reportedly undertook a medical at Juve during the January transfer window.
Arsenal will not receive any fee when Ramsey leaves on a free transfer at the end of the season. That lack of a fee goes some way to explaining why Serie A champions Juve have been prepared to offer mammoth wages to entice the former Cardiff City man to the club.
Ramsey moved to the Emirates Stadium in 2008. He has clocked up 357 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions, winning the FA Cup three times along the way.
