What is NASCAR Betting?

The National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing or NASCAR is a racing sport that falls under the umbrella of motorsports. Given a selection of many drivers, machines, and series, bettors can enjoy various competitions.

NASCAR can be done anonymously and alone, or with friends. The benefit of betting on motorsports is that players can bet on straightforward outcomes with betting platforms usually allowing future bets that can decide the whole racing season.

What Kind of Bets Can You Place on NASCAR?

The most popular type of NASCAR bets are:

  • Race winners: This is an outright bet with a lot of conductors as favorites. To win this kind of bet, bettors put their money on a driver who they think will win the race.

  • Top 3 / Top 5 Finish: Placing a bet on a driver of choice to finish in the Top X category. This lessens the chance to lose all your money if your chosen driver doesn’t win.

  • Pole position: A moneyline bet for the event before the actual race. Bettors need to predict which driver will qualify for a particular race in pole position.

  • Matchup Wagers: This form of betting is splitting up to a 50/50 outcome: just listing a driver that is going to finish in front of another one. These markets offer combinations for sharp bettors.

  • Group Matchup: Pitting drivers against one another, where instead of betting on two, players choose four drivers. These betting markets are usually created with groups of three drivers with odds below +300 and another one that holds a value.

  • Live bets: Also known as in-play bets are usually more difficult than in other sports, just because of the difficulty for sportsbooks to keep up with what's happening on the track. That is why a lot of websites offer wager edits and betting previous, so players can adjust their bets.

Are NASCAR Betting Sites Licensed & Regulated in the US?

Every US state that has passed legislation for online betting is allowed to host a licensed betting market for any sport including NASCAR. It is important to note that in every state where online betting is legal, there is a regulatory organization that provides licenses and regulations.

Are NASCAR Betting Sites Legit?

Sportsbooks that allow online betting should have a license on their website that is easy to find and proves their work is legal and regulated. Although different states have their own laws and regulations that should be complied with, NASCAR betting sites are legal in every state that has legalized online sports betting.

Top NASCAR Events to Bet On

NASCAR is a racing sport that uses around 30 different tracks across the USA every season, each varying in size and length. Traditional NASCAR tracks are known for their oval shape, but roads with turns and corners can also be spotted at the races. The race's popularity comes from the fact that these races use cars produced for regular use, but have been modified and are not even close to the models used in daily life.

With different aerodynamics, downforce packages, and many safety features to keep drivers as safe as possible, many teams use cars, such as Ford, Toyota, and Chevrolet. NASCAR has a special regulation about which car tires can be used on which track as they are usually filled with air and nitrogen.

Four main series create the NASCAR lineup: The Cup Series, Xfinity Series, the Truck Series, and the ARCA Menards Series.

NASCAR Cup Series

The Cup series has 36 races in 10 months. The first 26 series are part of the traditional season and the additional 10 are the playoffs. A race has up to 40 cars, with different sets of point systems that determine the winner. The races are split into 3 stages and each stage has a set number of laps that vary in number.

The points go for 40 to the winner, down to 1 point for drivers that finish from 36 to 40. After the 26 races of the season, the drivers from the top 16 race in the playoffs. There 4 drivers are eliminated with each race stage and the last 4 are competing to win the championship.

NASCAR Xfinity Series

Frequently held the day before a Cup Series event, this event was originally created to promote the races to younger audiences. Using smaller engines from the Cup Series, this event consists of 33 races. Decided by the points system, the racer with the most points at the end of the series’ season wins the title.

NASCAR Truck Series

These races take place on some of the tracks used in other NASCAR Series, but instead of driving stock cars, drivers race with pickup trucks. The schedule consists of 23 races starting in February and ending in November, usually taking place on the same weekend as the Cup and Xfinity Series. Alike the Cup Series playoff structure, 10 playoff spots are given to a driver who has won a race with drivers who have the most regular season points filling up the other spots.

Playoff points are earned by winning a stage, race, or the regular season championship. After the first 3 races, the last 2 drivers with the least amount of points are eliminated, followed by the elimination of another four drivers after three additional races. The topper of the race out of the four remaining playoff drivers has been crowned the Craftsman Truck Series champion.

NASCAR ARCA Menards Series

A feeder event to the NASCAR series, this event has a fixed set-up form with the idea of giving racers more time to focus on racing and strategic skills. With 41 teams racing for the championship, each team is limited to 10 laps on the track.

The point system that determines the race champion is simple. Between the 1st and the 40th position, every position is separated by 5 points. The winning driver receives 400 points while the 40th only 5. Any other driver that finishes before the 40th position also receives 5 points.

Superspeedway Events

A speedway is a track that is longer than one mile. Any track that is longer than two miles is known as a superspeedway. Speedways and superspeedways are the most famous NASCAR tracks used for all types of racing.

The Daytona International Superspeedway and Talladega Superspeedway are the only two tracks of this type at the moment. The Daytona 500 is the first and most popular race of the NASCAR season.

How To Choose The Best NASCAR Betting Site in 2024

A list of a few things to keep in mind when choosing a website for NASCAR betting:

Restricted States

Sportsbooks usually offer a map of states where they operate. Bettors from states where online sports betting is illegal will instantly be notified that they can use the service.

Moreover, we don’t recommend you use a VPN to access a site, if it’s not available in your state. Sportsbooks always request identification like SSNs and use website encryption that detects the use of automated features, which limits your chances.

Safety, Reliability, and Reputation

A license that complies with state laws and regulations as well as provides data security and reliable transactions is what polishes a brand’s reputation. Check whether the sportsbook you’ve chosen has the adequate state license and SSL certificate before registering.

Payout & Withdrawal Speed & Terms

Bettors shouldn't be charged more for making transactions, and transactions must be secure. They should have all the necessary information when it comes to payout and withdrawal, including terms and time. Note that some procedures might take longer depending on the chosen banking method.

Deposit Options

As almost all payment options allow for instant deposits, choosing one doesn’t seem like a daunting task. However, you should keep in mind that some of the best NASCAR bookmakers limit you to using the same withdrawal method after. Therefore, if you decide to use a prepaid card to deposit, you may have to use a bank transfer to withdraw your money later.

NASCAR Betting Selection

NASCAR sportsbooks offer a range of bets and betting markets, but some offer better odds than others. That’s why it's important to check the offer before depositing. For this reason, our team prefers sportsbooks that allow odds insights before registration.

NASCAR Betting Bonuses and Promotions

Using NASCAR bonuses is always a good idea, as long as the terms are fair. There’s no other reason why you shouldn’t use a freebie, especially when it comes in the form of a risk-free bet. Don’t forget to clear the rollover after using the bonus funds.

Cost & Fees

All activities on an online sportsbook are often free before making a payment. The majority of sportsbooks don't charge customers to deposit or withdraw money. Some online sportsbooks offer an "inactivity fee" where they will deduct a small amount from your balance if you have deposited money but do not place active bets.

User Experience & Mobile Compatibility

A simple user interface prevents issues like incorrect wagers, wrong deposits, and choosing the wrong banking option. To prevent similar problems when betting on the go, the mobile app should be configured properly.

Cashier Policy And T&Cs

Public accessible Terms & Conditions with a clear explanation about data use, collection, and third-party sharing is a must. The list should also include explanations about ways of identifying users, fiscal transactions, and compliance with state laws. Information about device information and how they track website use should also be included.

Other Popular Sports Betting Sites

NASCAR aside, there are other sports that US bettors enjoy. Here are some of the other sports and sporting events that you may be interested in:

  • Boxing: Being a sport that originated on the continent and had its all-time best boxers Americans, boxing wins the hearts of many sports enthusiasts. Gaining even more popularity with the use of artificial ice rinks, people enjoy playing this sport and following the National Hockey League – NHL which consists of American and Canadian teams.

  • Carbon Gaming

  • ZENIT

  • SKYBOOK
