As the race to be crowned Super Bowl LVIII champion continues to move through the gears, fans look on as the pool begins to evaporate. The regular season was another exciting and engaging campaign that helped separate the contenders from the also-rans. It whittled down the field from eight pools of four teams to the cream of the crop. The best-performing teams then progressed to the knockout stages and playoff football.

Lovers of American Football know the NFL season is anything but predictable. It’s fast-paced, emotional and unforgiving. Players realise just one error, a lapse in concentration, or a misplaced pass could turn victory to defeat before their eyes. Luck plays a huge part in a title-winning season, meaning the players and coaches must be at their best from the opening game to the Super Bowl decider. There is no room for passengers at this late stage of proceedings as we move towards the highlight of the year for NFL lovers.

At the time of writing, the race to be crowned Super Bowl LVIII champion is down to just eight teams, and that number will halve as each round passes. The season-deciding game is on Sunday, February 11th, at the Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada. Usher is confirmed as heading the Halftime Show, and he has some big shoes to fill. You can check out a teaser for his halftime show below.

Study the stats, get up to speed on the latest injury news, browse the head-to-head results, and make predictions. Remember, the more you know about the season, the stronger your predictions.

Another smart move when previewing the NFL season and Super Bowl LVIII is to check the latest odds available at the top NFL sportsbooks. Which team is the favorite? Bookies have the San Fransico 49ers as the most likely winner and the strong market leader. For us, they're one of the best Super Bowl prop bets around at the moment, even at this price. They sit ahead of their nearest rivals, the Baltimore Ravens, with the Buffalo Bills in third place. The other five teams remain competitive, but either team winning the title would be a surprise to those working on the trading floors in Las Vegas. Check out the odds from FanDuel sportsbook below:

Super Bowl LVII Odds

San Francisco 49ers +175

Baltimore Ravens +270

Buffalo Bills +490

Kansas City Chiefs +700

Detroit Lions +900

Green Bay Packers +3000

Tampa Bay Buccaneers +3300

Houston Texans +3300

The above odds are correct at the time of writing. Super Bowl betting odds, like all sportsbook odds, are subject to change, and the odds available when you gamble may differ from those quoted above.

Let’s now leave the outright betting odds and preview this weekend’s games, offering our props bets, and predictions. More interested in NFL parlay bets? This guide covers all you need to know about placing parlay bets in the lead up to the Super Bowl.

Houston Texans vs Baltimore Ravens

The weekend action begins with a fascinating clash at the M&T Bank Stadium, where the Ravens hold the home advantage. Baltimore won the AFC North with their stats showing 13 wins and four defeats, scoring 483 points and conceding 280. Let’s compare that to the Houston Texans, who ended top of the AFC South with ten wins and seven defeats, scoring 377 and conceding 353 points.

Baltimore isn’t only the home team but also boasts better offensive and defensive records, which will show in the result. I believe the Ravens’ attack will have the last say in this game and fancy them to put some big numbers on the board. Back these teams to score more than 47 points combined.

Green Bay Packers vs San Francisco 49ers

Moving to Sunday’s game at Levi Stadium, the San Francisco 49ers welcome the Green Bay Packers. San Fran made it this far by winning the NFC West with a dozen wins and five defeats. They lost their most recent outing against the Los Angeles Rams by a point, but we won’t hold that against them. The 49ers are a free-scoring team and should have enough to progress.

The Green Bay Packers finished second behind the Detroit Lions in the NFC North, losing eight of 17 games and conceding 350 points. They don’t have a bad defense but must work harder in attack to stand any chance of beating San Francisco. We’ll bet on this game, producing less than 50 points by both teams combined.

With so little time to go until the final game, preparations in Vegas are underway. But will we be seeing the 49ers there soon?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Detroit Lions

Attention turns to Ford Field, and we’re backing the home team to roar. Could this be Detroit’s year? They impressed in the regular season, winning the NFC North comfortably, but there’s more to come from this team, and we have high hopes they’ll hit the ground running in the playoffs.

Tampa finished top of the NFC South but lost almost as many games as they won, including a 5-4 record on the road. Neither team has been particularly impressive in the scoring charts of late, and this will be a tight affair. Again, we’re backing under 50 points combined.

Kansas City Chiefs vs Buffalo Bills

We wrap up this weekend’s preview with the game from Highmark Stadium, and schedulers have kept the best for last. I really fancy Buffalo to win the Super Bowl this year despite letting fans down in recent seasons. They won the AFC East by the skin of their teeth, winning 11 and losing six. They were almost perfect at home, while Kansas was better on the road. That stats tells us to prepare for a cracker.

We hope this game is a shootout between two genuine title contenders rather than a nervous and low-quality match. Let’s take over 50 points, sit back and enjoy the show.
