Video: Police use pepper spray on Brazilian footballers
Here’s your red card and your dose of temporary blindness
While Roberto Mancini’s toddler tantrum was the talk of offices up and down the country today, the Manchester City boss might want to consider himself lucky that he is not employed in Brazil. Police used pepper spray on players at a lower league match there this week when a bit of handbags broke out there.
Genus midfielder Robson was sent-off, but he and four team-mates confronted the referee. The worried match officials called for police back-up and it arrived in the form of a swift spray to the eyes.
Robson and co seemed less eager to harass the ref after that!
