Franck Ribery gets two bookings in twenty seconds – video
No de Cologne
You would have thought that when you are an international footballer and you get yourself booked, you might just try and keep under the radar for a while. No bad challenges. No dissent. And no strangling.
Not Franck Ribery. After a fairly blatant dive in Bayern Munich’s game against Cologne last night, Ribery reacted to the Cologne central defender by putting his head against his opponent. Yellow card #1.
He then walked away from the incident, only to walk back up to the same player and grab him round the neck, leaving the referee no choice but to produce yellow card #2.
His behaviour was even more stupid as the score was 0-0 at the time. Bayern, however, got over the inequality and ran out 3-0 winners.
