OTP Podcast – Episode 34: Goal-whine Technology
Ghost goals? Dodgy penalties? Andy Carroll scoring two goals in two games? The world of football has gone mad (again)! So to help you make sense of it, the Off The Post Podcast will be gathering up all the weekend’s Premier League and FA Cup madness, sticking it all in a Wembley-sized blender, and then feeding the resulting audio smoothie into your ears.
In the process we’ll also be answering the following questions: Did Ashley Young step on an exposed power line at Old Trafford? Just how good is Carlos Tevez at golf? What do you do if a swarm of bees attacks during a football match? And of course, WHEN WILL WE GET THE TECHNOLOGY?! (Probably next season).
If that’s not enough for you we’ve also an exclusive interview with Will Tidey from top US Sports website The Bleacher Report. He gave us some superb build-up to the Chelsea-Barcelona Champions League clash and his thoughts on the title race (and trust us he should know – he has written a book about Fergie after all). Have some of that.
The Off The Post Podcast – coaxing nonsense from the footballing woodwork.
Brazilian football continues to upstage the Premier League on almost every level. This time the Anfield cat has been put to shame by this swarm of bees that put a halt to the match between Fluminense de Feira and Juazeirense. The only problem with the video is that you can’t see the bees. Still, there’s been a lot of buzz around this one.
La magie de la coupe! French minnows Quevilly score the winner against Rennes with the last kick of the game in their French Cup semi-final to book their place in the final against Lyon and send the stadium, players, and commentators absolutely bonkers. Pamplemousse!
The Bleacher Report’s Will Tidey this week gives us the audio equivalent of an anticipation-building montage as he talks us through Chelsea’s chances against Barcelona in the Champions League this week…
