Manchester City beat Serie A side AC Milan 5-3 in a pulsating match in the Audi Cup.

Goals from David Silva, Micah Richards, Aleksandar Kolarov and two from Edin Dzeko, including a great turn and volley, allowed City to race into a 5-0 lead in a crazy first half.

But it was about to get even crazier, with Stephan El Sharaawy (two) and Andrea Petagna pulling Milan back into contention.

The two teams appeared to realise that they were supposed to be top-class professional footballers at half-time and the playground scoring stopped after the interval.

Milan had the chances to level, but City deserved the result on the balance of play.
