Stoke City sign New England Revolution striker Juan Agudelo
Stoke have agreed a deal to sign USA international Juan Agudelo – but he won’t join them until January.
The New England Revolution star will move to the Potteries when his current deal expires.
The 20-year-old, capped 17 times by his country, will officially become a Stoke player on January 1.
Potters boss Mark Hughes told the Potters’ website: “I’ve known of him for a couple of years now.
“He burst on to the scene for the United States at the 17 and everybody has paid attention to him since.”
He added: “I have kept my eye on him for the last 18 months, and thankfully we were in a position where we were able to pull this deal off.”
The Colombian-born forward has 12 goals in 75 MLS games for New York Red Bulls, Chivas USA and New England Revolution.
