Name: Orlando Trustfull

In his 90s prime for: Sheffield Wednesday

Lowdown: Started his youth career at Ajax, where he was part of the famous academy set-up for five years before being allowed to leave to join HFC Haarlem, where he began his professional career. After just fourteen games he was snapped up by Dordrecht, where he played fifty league games in midfield over two years.

A brief move to Twente was ended when giants Feyenoord bought him. Although he struggled at times to break into the first team at the club, making just 78 league appearances in four seasons, Trustfull did score 13 goals, and was able to make two appearances for the Dutch national side in 1995.

A year later he decided that he wanted to move abroad, and Sheffield Wednesday came in for the midfielder, following Dutchmen such as Richard Witschge and Regi Blinker to the city. Cool name aside, Orlando never really made an impression in England, making just nine starts and 10 substitute appearances, scoring three goals. After just one season, he returned home to Vitesse Arnhem.

Now: He’s married to Quinty Trustfull, who has the most obvious porn star name outside of the industry. After retiring in 2002 due to persistent knee injuries, Orlando became a stay-at-home father whilst Quinty did television work. In 2006, he gained a role coaching at Sparta Rotterdam, where he is in charge of the youth teams, and has since moved on to do a similar role at Ajax. In the above video he talks at length (in Dutch) about the ethos of the club.
