Free advice from the opposition fans

When a professional footballer from your club makes a mess of something as simple as a throw-in, it can be frustrating. But when MK Dons full-back Jude Stirling made a right pig’s ear of his throw against Leyton Orient the away supporters seemed to be more annoyed than Stirling’s own fans.

As Stirling prepared to take his next throw-in, an O’s supporter came down the stand from his seat to show the player how it should be done. YouTube names the chap in question as Mat Roper which would make him the editor of Pandamonium fanzine and a bit of a character…

Earlier this month Roper raised £7,000 and submitted an official loan bid for Wayne Rooney to Manchester United chief executive David Gill. The letter also offered Wayne and Colleen free accommodation in Roper’s spare bedroom.

He said: “We are not pinning our hopes on Wayne saying yes but we need to get someone in.” If David Beckham completes a takeoverthis scheme might become slightly less far-fetched!
