Wacko invites Man Utd star for VIP treatment
Musical superstar and all round weirdo Michael Jackson has asked Rio Ferdinand to go backstage at one of his sell-out O2 Arena shows later this year. Jacko himself phoned Rio’s mobile to extend the invitation
Rio told The Sun: “Michael was my boyhood hero. I used to pretend to be him all the time. Having him on the other end of the line, telling me he can’t wait to meet me — I was shaking afterwards, I couldn’t believe it.”
The England defender has also been offered the chance to interview Jackson for his new magazine project #%. He added: “Of all the interviews I’ll be doing, that’s the most intimidating. He’s a true legend.”
