Micah Richards has put a positive slant on the injury he sustained in the opening stages of last night’s win over Bayern Munich by pledging a £20,000 charity donation.
The Manchester City right-back was so pleased with the messages of support he received on Twitter after being subbed off that he decided to offer a charitable reward.
He wrote: “Thanks for the support! For this great support id like to offer 20k of my own money to anyone who convinces me there charity needs it most.”
Charities have 24 hours to contact Richards explaining why they need the donation.
