Liverpool well and truly whipped Manchester City at Anfield this evening. They also unleashed quite possibly the most homoerotic attacking move the Premier League has ever seen.

The Reds decided to defeat Citeh’s zonal marking system with this rather interesting little ploy. It mainly seemed to involve defender Martin Skrtel bending over while Andy Carroll stood very close and grasped his hips or chest. Occasionally the Geordie brute would also whisper sweet nothings in his ear.

Joleon Lescott understandably found it very amusing.

Although Liverpool didn’t benefit directly from this corner routine, Carroll seemed very keen to persist with it.
