A disgruntled car washer from Newcastle has taken to Twitter to chase Demba Ba for an allegedly unpaid bill for £40.

Lee Donnelly, posting on Twitter as car cleaning business LJD Valet, hijacked an #askba interactive session with the former Magpies striker for a spot of gentle debt collection.

He tweeted: “#askba are u ever gonna pay me the £40 for valeting ur car? take it as a no as u moved away.”

He followed that up with a tweet referencing the new Chelsea man’s reported £90,000-a-week deal at Stamford Bridge.

It read: “#AskBa the money u owe me is 0.0001% of ur daily wage sort it out ba.”

And we thought that owners of Newcastle’s official calendar would be annoyed at Ba’s transfer. At least they’re not £40 down!
