Paris Saint Germain striker Edinson Cavani’s agent has reportedly travelled to London for talks as the Uruguay international considers his future.
Chelsea and Manchester United are both interested in signing the 26-year-old.
The former Napoli man is thought to be unhappy at being forced to play in a wide role at PSG in order to accomodate star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The Daily Mail reports that his representatives were in London today for discussions about Cavani’s future.
Both the Blues and United are likely to launch a bid if it becomes clear that he is available this summer.
Cavani is believed to be on a three-man shortlist, along with Bayern Munich’s Mario Mandzukic and Atletico Madrid’s Diego Costa, of players Jose Mourinho would like to lead the Chelsea line next season.
And United reportedly tasked Sir Alex Ferguson with a discreet enquiry to PSG coach Laurent Blanc about Cavani’s availability last month.
If the Ligue 1 champions do decide to sell, they will expect to recoup all of the £54m they paid to sign Cavani last summer.
