Man Utd’s Marcus Rashford on £500-a-week

Manchester United goalscoring hero Marcus Rashford earns just £500-a-week at present, according to the Scouts In Attendance Twitter account.
The 18-year-old has burst onto the first-team scene with two goals against Midtjylland in the Europa League in midweek and another two goals against Arsenal so far this afternoon.
According to the report, he currently takes home a basic wage of a mere £500. His contract is said to include a goal bonus of £125 to help top up his earnings.
If that is accurate, he has effectively earned an extra week’s wages with his four goals in the past four days.
While most people wouldn’t complain if they had similar wages to Rashford, his salary is minuscule in comparison to most of his team-mates.
For example, a £500 weekly pay packet means he currently earns 0.19 per cent of that amount paid to captain Wayne Rooney, who is currently replacing in United’s team. And a pretty good job he is doing of replacing him, too.
