Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has explained his decision to post a photo of some lions to his Instagram account.
The England international shared a picture of a pride of lions on the prowl. It was accompanied by the caption: “…”
Speaking after last night’s win at Stoke City, Kane confirmed that the post was inspired by Leicester City dropping points against West Ham United.
Kane said: “After watching the Leicester game, they dropped a couple of points, and I was itching to play.
“I had to wait a whole day and a half to get out on the pitch, but it was just something I wanted to put out there and it was a bit of fun.”
He expanded on that in an interview with Spurs’ in-house media team.
