AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli says there were obviously problems at Manchester City that led to the club failing to retain the Premier League title and to the sacking of manager Roberto Mancini.

We’ve all laughed or moaned at keepers who flap at crosses, but even David James at the height of his video games obsession would have struggled to make a miscalculation quite this bad.

Inter Milan goalie Samir Handanovic completed misjudged a cross from Antonio Candreva and ended up backheeling the ball into his net mid-flight as he soared past his intended target.

There is a distinct sadness to not hearing about all of Mario Balotelli’s japes after his move back to Italy, but every now and then something does flow across to England on the breeze.
