Spurs stars worried relegation is being handed to them on a plate

Tottenham players are blaming their poor form on the strict dietary restrictions placed on them by manager Juande Ramos. The Sun reports that Spurs players believe a lack of food is sapping their energy during games.

They quote one player as saying: “We’re feeling hungry going into games and that can’t be good. We get lots to eat after matches but we want something before as well.”

Ramos has brought nutritionist Dr Antonio Escribano (aka Dr Baby Food) to White Hart Lane. Escribano famously mixes vitamins, minerals, fruit and vegetables to create something similar to baby food for players to eat. He also has strict rules on what types of food players can eat, what times they can eat them at, and in which order they are to be eaten.

Sounds like a recipe for disaster.
