Nolberto Solano arrested over alleged rape

Leicester player quizzed on sex attack

Nolberto Solano has been arrested on suspicion of rape after a 22-year-old woman claimed he attacked her. The 35-year-old was nicked at a house in Gosforth, Newcastle. The former Magpies midfielder still lives in the city.

The Leicester player was released on bail pending further enquiries.

In 2005, the Peruvian international was accused of cheating on his pregnant wife, Claudia. The couple divorced eight months later.
