Twitter: where you can see footballers bickering like kids
Rio Ferdinand and Robbie Savage have been enjoying a spot of Twitter banter. The Manchester United defender has been taking a pop at Savage’s classy tattoos, while the Derby man got his revenge with a jibe at Rio’s injury woes.
In Savage’s words: “Rio had a pop about the Arabic characters I’ve got on my arm – he reckons they spell “chavalicious” – and my infamous Armani tattoo. He even made his own version and stuck on his arm to take the pee.”
Savage struck back, saying the pain of removing his fake Gucci tattoo would probably rule him out for six weeks. And when Rio offered his followers a signed Manchester United or England shirt in a competition, Sav was quick to quip that he would “have to get down to JJB and buy one as he’d not been near the real things for ages”
The spat continues.
