Arsenal star Jack Wilshere has been accused of “cyber-bullying” by Birmingham boss Alex McLeish, following his post-Carling Cup final tweet about Barry Ferguson.
Wilshere had used his Twitter account to say: “Well done to the BCFC player who slapped Koscielny on the head when they scored, very big of you!”
That Birmingham player was Ferguson, and his manager has now chosen to take Wilshere to task over the tweet.
McLeish said: “It’s not my world, Twitter and all that stuff. Cyber-bullying is not for me. We’ll draw a line under it and move forward.”
Meanwhile, it has emerged that Ferguson’s slap to the head of Koscielny was delivered despite a broken rib. The Scot had played through the pain barrier for more than an hour with the injury.
